 As a teaching artist, Michelle is the Director of Film for Epic Theater Ensemble, a professional theater company generating original content focused on social justice issues with students from Title 1 schools. She created Epic Film School, a program where young people learn the technical aspects of filmmaking. She has mentored in the Epic Next Summer Intensive as well as on the Chelsea Remix program, where the students develop Shakespeare adaptations. Her students have gone on to win and become finalists for the ESU National Shakespeare Competition.

She has taught Shakespeare, Acting, and Devised Theater with The Public Theater, DreamYard, and Hunt’s Point Children’s Shakespeare Ensemble. She has taught workshops for the Shakespeare Theater in Voice and Text as well as American Conservatory Theater, Baltimore Center Stage, Shakespeare Theater, and TheatreWorks Palo Alto. Michelle also coaches high school students navigating the college drama school admission process with MTCA and professional actors’ auditions through her own studio: An Actor Tapes. She is the current sophomore acting teacher at CAP21’s BFA program.
